:Machine Learning Techniques for Internet AdvertisingAbstract:
Internet advertising is an increasing market representing about the 41% of the global (online and traditional) advertising market. Online advertising campaigns usually include a huge number of parameters that one can set and tune every day. Optimizing these parameters is crucial to obtain good performance (usually measured in terms of clicks, leads, and conversions), but this task is usually unaffordable for humans. Designing new techniques to automate the optimization process is thus becoming of paramount importance for both advertisers and publishers. Artificial Intelligence can play a central role in providing solutions which exploit the huge amount of data to maximize the performance of the campaigns. The goal of my research is to design new algorithms to address digital advertising problems from the point of view of media agencies. This research project is funded by Mediamatic, an Italian media agency of the Multimedia Marketing group.
