:DESIGN OF DATA ANALYTICS TOOLS FOR THE ACTIVE MONITORING OF LANDING GEAR DYNAMICS AND ONLINE OPTIMIZATION OF ANTI-SKID PERFORMANCE IN AIRCRAFTAbstract:
This Thesis aims at designing data analysis tools for the online monitoring of the antiskid performance. Such tools will not only be used to build a knowledge-based adaptation strategies for the anti-skid controller, but also to provide an online monitoring of the landing gear dynamics. From the gear status it can be possible to retrieve possible fatigue indicators which are a fundamental tool in predictive maintenance schemes. The most innovative aspect of the thesis is that it constitutes the first attempt to design an anti-skid system for aircraft that adapts according to the data gathered during the life-span based operations of the aircraft. This will allow to connect the antiskid performance to indicators of the health status of the landing gear components.
