:Resource management for 5G-and-beyond networks based on artificial intelligence. Abstract:
High-frequency communication is attractively embraced in 5G-and-beyond systems, which is expected to reach high data rate and low latency thanks to large bandwidth. Resource allocation is one of the topics most commonly investigated, which covers the consideration for sorts of resources such as transmission, bandwidth, beamwidth, power, time, etc. The main related targets aimed at involve throughput, latency, power, etc. The methodology concerned is dominated by optimization methods most of which is NP-hard and can be solved via reformulation of problems, relaxation of constraints or proposing heuristics, while machine learning (ML) is emerging as a new tool, assisting in dynamic resource allocation and scheduling. Considering the realistic network environment is rapidly changing and could encounter complicated situations that is difficult to be involved in static optimization methods, we intend to resort to ML tools to bypass the potential negative factors and make the model built adaptive to the environment variation.
