:Low Power PZT MEMS Driver ArchitectureAbstract:
Microelectromechanical System (MEMS) based micromirrors are becoming key elements for nextgeneration transduction in several systems and for various applications in consumer, health, industrial and mobility. The system is formed by the micro-machined element and suitable control electronics. The performance of the system (resolution, n. of pixels, dynamic range …) are primarily determined by the product of the field ov view and the mirror diameter. This in turn is related to the driving capability of the electronic circuit. For this reason, the development of electronic drivers for
micromirrors with high efficiency (and low power consumption) is of primary relevance. In particular for piezoelectric-material-based mirrors, the challenges of driving large capacitive loads (as high as few nF) at large required voltages (as high as 60 V) demands scientific research in this field.
