The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques brought in the last years to an explosion in the production of biological sequenced data. However, while the techniques for studying the effects of mutations, the interaction of genes and proteins, etc. are evolving fast, none or very few effort has been done for making all the data already publicly available also easy to search and compare.
In this context, with the long term goal of an ¿internet of genomes¿ and the realization of personalized medicine, my research is focused on creating a new model for genomic data with the aim of defining a more precise standard which could enable search and help discovery of new information from the already existing files. The second step of the research will be oriented on building analysis tool within the system to further improve the potentiality of the system. Different possibilities in this sense are brought by classical statistical methods and graph analysis methods; in this sense an interesting direction would be the application of Page Rank.
