Abstract:
The aim of this work is the development and experimental characterization of a gamma-ray spectrometer for high-energy nuclear physics experiments based on 3" diameter times 3" height Lanthanum Bromide scintillator crystals coupled with a large matrix of 144 Silicon Photomultipliers, characterized by state-of-the-art energy resolutions and imaging capability.
